Actress Hania Amir earlier this month took the internet by storm as she rejected the speculations that she is dating singer Asim Azhar. In a recent live session with her best friend Aima Baig, Hania revealed that she and Asim are not in a relationship.
Answering a fan question whether she is still with the singer, the actress responded, "We are friends, we are not together, we are not dating, we are not a couple. But we are best friends."
Names of Hania Amir and Asim Azhar became a top hashtag trend after the former's interview with Aima Baig went viral on social media.
However, now singer Asim Azhar has come forward and spoke on the matter. In an interview with famous host Waqar Zaka, Asim opened up about his breakup and how he dealt with social media backlash.
In the interview, when asked if he is single, the singer said, “Yes, I am single and I have been single for some time.”
“It was a mature and mutual decision between us,” Azhar added. Asim Azhar further talked about how breakups are a part of life, and how a lot of people go through it. In addition to this, addressing to the public reaction, he says how people love to add spice to every piece of news they discover about celebs.
“I deleted all the social media apps from my phone for six days to avoid negativity. I deleted Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter instead of deactivating them. If I had deactivated, it would have been more attention-seeking. Deleting them helped me a lot to get through it,” he explained.
