The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has threatened to ban English and African cricketers if they show up at the upcoming Kashmir Premier League (KPL), 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The Indian board officials contacted English and African counterparts to bar their players from from participating in the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) scheduled to be held in Azad Kashmir.
The English and African authorities refrained their players from taking part in the KPL till further orders. Following the bans from these boards, the league made a request to other foreign players to stop from joining the KPL. It decided to pick local players for the KPL, providing them with a chance to show their skills in the KPL.
Former Pakistani captain Rashid Latif took to the Twitter to expose the BCCI manoeuvring against the sports activity in AJK.
The BCCI will not allow those foreign cricketers to work in India, who will participate in the KPL, which is going to start from August 6 in Muzaffarabad, he said in a tweet.
He added the BCCI is warning cricket boards that if there former players took part in Kashmir Premier League, they won’t be allowed entry into India or allowed to work in Indian cricket at any level or in any capacity.
