Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif Friday rejected new prices of petrol and demanded the Imran Khan government to reduce as it broke the back of people.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif in his two tweet massages strongly opposed the decision of increasing petrol prices.

He said the giant of inflation had already sucked the blood of the people of Pakistan and a further increase in petrol prices would break their financial backbone.

Shahbaz said there was a tsunami of unemployment and the continuous rise in prices of petrol, electricity, food and essential commodities had broken the backs of the people.

The PMLN president said if the oppression of inflation continues at the same pace, then the whole society would be engulfed in poverty and unrest.

He said the sitting government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was depriving the people of their right to life. He demanded the government that the cruel act of increasing petrol prices should be reversed.

Separately, the Sindh government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has also rejected new prices of petrol and demanded PM Imran Khan to take it back.

The PPP leader Ismail Rahu said the PTI government had increased petrol prices four times in couple of month that was not acceptable for poor Pakistanis in any case.
