CM Maryam takes up collaboration in education field with British envoy

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that all possible measures are being taken for protection of women and children. She said this during a meeting with British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott in Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


They also agreed to enhance collaboration in education, health and other sectors.


Maryam Nawaz briefed the British envoy about the establishment of first women virtual police station and child safety virtual centre.


Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott also called on Punjab Governor Sardari Salim Haider Khan in Lahore and discussed with him on how to tackle the challenges being faced on climate change.


The governor apprised the high commissioner about shifted the universities in Punjab to solar energy. Pakistan has suffered most from climate change despite negligible contribution in it, he added.
