The Punjab government on Tuesday extended the lockdown in various localities of Lahore for another three days.

The localities where the lockdown has been extended are Model Town, Gulberg, DHA, Garden Town, Faisal Town, Gulshan-e-Ravi and the Walled City. However, lockdown in 61 localities of the provincial capital will be lifted tonight.

The Punjab government had enforced a strict and “smart lockdown” in more than 80 localities of Lahore on June 17 keeping in view the increasing number of coronavirus infection in the province in general and Lahore in particular.
