The troubles and woes of the citizens, who want to go abroad, have continued as a large number of people are still protesting and waiting to get the AstraZeneca vaccine doses in Islamabad, Multan and Karachi despite health authorities’ assurances that they will get the jabs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

A good number of citizens has now been visiting the vaccination centres but they are not getting the jabs of required AstraZeneca to travel abroad. People hurled stones at the F9 Vaccination Centre in Islamabad and blocked the road also. ICT Police reached the protest site and deployed personnel to avoid any untoward incident.

In Multan, protesters also blocked the Nishtar Road over the unavailability of AstraZeneca vaccine. Overseas Pakistanis in Multan also chanted slogans against the vaccine centres administration.

Protesters said they had been visiting the vaccination centres for the last two weeks and they needed the vaccine shots at the earliest because their visas would expire soon.

The protesters also said there was only one counter in Multan Vaccination Centre and it had not been administering the Western vaccine jabs as required by some countries. People also faced problems in getting shots of AstraZeneca vaccine in Peshawar.
