Former prime minister Imran Khan has said the wheat crisis is looming as the target of wheat sowing in Punjab could not be achieved.
The premier raised the concerns during a private TV interview Thursday. Referring to the Lahore High Court verdict on the Punjab CM election, Imran Khan said he has always called Hamza's election as CM ‘unconstitutional’.
He added he will move the Supreme Court against the LHC verdict. He questioned why the votes of turncoats are being counted when the top court issued orders against them.
There is no governance in Punjab and the rulers’ only motive is to escape corruption cases, he added. Imran Khan pointed out that the Lahore High Court has given a 24-hour deadline for recounting votes in the Punjab CM election.

Earlier, in his address at the Islamabad High Court Bar, Imran questioned whether it is in the best interests of the country to have such people imposed on it.
The PTI chairman stated that the rule of law was the most important principle of Riyasat-i-Madina, adding that all developed countries cannot imprison the wealthiest individuals. Imran said only minor thieves have been apprehended in developed countries.
