Ali Zafar locks in controversy for old video with Bollywood girls

Established Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has found himself around a fresh controversy after his old video alongside Bollywood actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra emerged on social media during which the singer is seen in ‘questionable’ action with Shraddha Kapoor.

In the clip, originally filmed a few years ago, Kapoor and Chopra can be seen admiring Zafar's talents and charisma during an interview with an Indian journalist: however, the discussion takes a controversial turn when Ali ‘playfully’ appears on the camera and gives Shraddha a warm huge.

Shraddha, after taking a small pause in the discussion, continues commending Ali and he suggests himself the nickname “Naughty Ali” for his abrupt antics. In contrast, many of the viewers assumed Shraddha's feelings of discomfort and shock throughout the period.

The video has also reignited discussions about past allegations against Zafar. Some social media users recalled the accusations made by singer Meesha Shafi during the #MeToo movement, alleging that Zafar had subjected her to repeated sexual harassment.

These claims were countered by Zafar through a defamation lawsuit, where he stated that Shafi's accusations were baseless and had tarnished his reputation and distressed his family.
