While announcing new projects worth Rs17.6billion for Chiniot and Sargodha, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated development schemes costing billions of rupees and also laid the foundation stones of public welfare projects during his visit to the cities.
He also announced an early completion of the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road project with an amount of Rs12.7 billion. He inaugurated four road sector projects in Chiniot costing 43.71 crore rupees besides laying the foundation stones of two projects of Rs85.31 crore. He inaugurated projects worth 62.30 crores in Sargodha and laid the foundation stones of four projects of 1.21 billion and 60 lac rupees. CM also planted saplings on the occasion.
At the second phase of his field visits, the CM announced new development projects of 5.60 billion for Chiniot. He inaugurated four projects of Rs43.71 crore and laid the foundation of two other projects of 85.31 crore rupees. He announced to construct the Chiniot section of Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road with a cost of 4.50 billion.
He inaugurated four projects of construction of 45 kilometre long farm-to-market roads costing 43.71 crores in Chiniot. The foundation stone of two other projects of the road sector was also laid. These roads will be completed with an amount of 85.31 crore rupees. Five projects of construction of 43.5 km long roads will be completed under RAP phase-II. The foundation stone of THQ hospital Bhawana was also laid.
Talking to the media, the CM announced new development projects of 5.60 billion rupees for Chiniot along with the construction of the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road section costing Rs5.5 billion.
Under the development package, 12 major projects will be completed including six road sector and two each for health and education, disposal of water and police line schemes. The 250-bed THQ hospital, district complex and police lines will be established in Chiniot and the development package also includes many other projects relating to construction and repair of roads, drainage and supply of water, he added.
The feasibility report will be prepared for boys college in Lalian and girls degree college in Bhawana while 67 km long Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road will be constructed with an amount of Rs12.70 billion. Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road will be constructed through public-private partnership and the share of Chiniot in Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road will be 5.5 billion rupees, he added and announced that efforts were being made for repair and reconstruction of Chiniot-Pindi Bhattian road. Thousands of acres of land is being retrieved daily in Punjab from squatters. The CM said farmers’ rights will be protected in wheat procurement.
Later, the CM inaugurated six projects of 62.30 crore value at Circuit House Sargodha which includes the construction of 52.5 km long farm-to-market roads under RAP phase-I. The second shift learning centre for child labourers at Government Girls High School Railway Colony Sargodha was inaugurated by children.
The CM inaugurated the botanical garden and Miyawaki forest while laying the foundation stone of four new projects of one billion 21 crores and 60 lac rupees. Buildings of shelter home, DC Office complex and BS Block of Government Ambala College will be constructed and nine projects of construction of 53 km long roads will also be completed under phase-II of RAP.
Talking to the media, the CM announced a development package of 12 billion rupees for Sargodha to complete 43 development projects.
Giving the details, the CM said two billion rupees will be spent on the supply and drainage of water. The government will construct a social security hospital and emergency services and casualty ward will also be set up in DHQ hospital. 26 mega road sector projects will be completed. 42 km long Sargodha-Makhdoom interchange dual carriage will be constructed. 109 km long roads will be constructed along with a flyover and different link roads will be repaired in urban and rural areas. 13 projects of supply and drainage of water, construction of parks and beautification will be completed.
A portion of Sargodha-Mianwali road has been completed while the second part from Khushab to Sargodha Sial Morr will be tabled before PSDP for completion. He said the Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road will be built at a cost of 12.70 billion. 67 km long Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road will be constructed through public-private partnership and the share of Sargodha in this project is 7.5 billion, excluding district package.
Replying to a question, the CM said the health card scheme will be completed by the end of this year while a seven billion Ramzan package has been announced. Billions of rupees are earmarked for a self-employment scheme for giving loans to needy youth. Ten thousand are being recruited along with the purchase of 600 police vehicles and construction of new police stations. The ratio of corona positive cases has reached 12 per cent in Sargodha and citizens should follow SOPs.
