Shareen Jokhio, widow of Nazim Jokhio who was allegedly tortured to death at the farmhouse of PPP MPA Jam Awais Jokhio, pardoned all the accused including MNA Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a video message, Shareen Jokhio said “I am truly helpless. I am pardoning all the accused for the sake of my children. I have left it to Allah. I’m thankful to those who helped me. But through this video I want to tell everybody that I can no longer put up a fight. I am a loyal woman and wanted to fight the case but my family has deserted me. Those who have children, they can understand my predicament.”
PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim who is brother of Jam Awais is expected to return from Dubai any time to cast his vote in the no-confidence motion that is likely to take place tomorrow. But the authorities have placed his name on the PNIL and he will be arrested as soon as he comes back.
Though the absconding MNA has got protective bail from the Sindh High Court till April 3, but the threat of arrest still haunts him and he is delaying his arrival. Though he confirmed his return ticket for today but he didn’t arrive.
However, the pardon message from the widow could end this case against him and all other accused under the Islamic law.
MNA Jam Karim is involved in the murder of Nazim Jokhio. A tortured body of Nazim was found at the Malir farmhouse of PPP MPA Jam Awais in November last year. The MPA along with his MNA brother Jam Karim and others has been booked for allegedly killing Nazim as he had tried to stop his foreign guests from hunting houbara bustard.
Police nominated detained MPA and four others as accused in their charge sheet and shown MNA Jam Karim as an absconding suspect in the case.
