Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation Wednesday (today) evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The announcement was made by Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed while saying that the PM’s address to the nation is going to be very important.
The minister also revealed that an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet has also been called at 2:30 pm today.
Prime Minister Imran Khan convened the urgent meeting to discuss the issue of international conspiracy to topple his government.
During the meeting, the prime minister will take into confidence his cabinet members and the leaders of the allied political parties over the letter that highlights the international conspiracy being hatched against his government.
Leaders of the allied political parties have been especially invited to join the meeting, the PM House said.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and BAP MNA from Balochistan Nadir Magsi have declined to attend the meeting.
It may be mentioned here that the latest developments emerged after a close ally of the PTI government MQM-P had decided to support the joint opposition’s no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
