Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Faisal Vawda has claimed that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s life is in danger as a plot has been hatched to assassinate him.

Speaking in a private TV channel programme, Vawda said that there was a plan to assassinate PM Imran Khan.

Vawda said PM Imran Khan has been advised to use a bulletproof shield while addressing the public gatherings but the PM said he will leave this world at the time fixed by Almighty Allah.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is brave, he will not put the country at stake and will not let the nation bow down before anyone.

Vawda said: "There is a serious threat to Imran Khan's life. I don't know whether you were read that part (in the letter) about the consequences. That is life-threatening."

"There has been a mention of assassinating Imran Khan," Vawda added.

"Along with the vote of no-confidence, there is also a threat to his (PM Imran's) life. There (has been a mention) of assassination," he said.

PM Imran Khan has a clear stance on the foreign policy of the country and added that now Pakistan will not become part of anyone’s war, Faisal Vawda said and added that airbases of the country will not be given to anyone to attack our neighbouring countries.

He further said that those who have been leading the country are the assets of the people, but sadly Pakistan’s foreign policy was changed on the orders of foreign masters in the past.

Vawda continued: "Imran Khan is a brave man. He will never sell off his country. He will not sell off his nation. He will not take dollars. He will not allow the use of bases and will not allow anyone to act as they will."

"And its cost, till now, is the sarkar, that is the government, and his life," Vawda added.

The PTI leader said that threats to Imran Khan's life existed even prior to his election as the prime minister. "[At big rallies], we used to stand before him as human shields. Agencies used to inform us that there are chances today [of Imran Khan being attacked]," he said.

Vawda further said: "We had asked the prime minister to share this (the threats against his life) as well but he is brave and does not want to present it as his weakness."
