The Multan district of South Punjab received rain and hailstorms late on Saturday, the 24NewsHD TV channel reports.

The Basti Malook, Makhdoom Rashid and the adjacent areas of Multan received hailstorms. It is feared that hailstorms may inflict heavy damage on crops in the agricultural district. The Meteorology Department forecasts rain at intervals.

Meanwhile, the KP CM Ali Amin Khan Gandapur directed PDMA and Rescue personnel to be on alert.

All resources should be utilized to cope with any untoward incident, he stressed, adding that timely assistance and relief should be ensured

Necessary measures should be taken to open the roads which may be closed due to rains and snowfall and availability of small and large machinery and manpower should be ensured, the CM directed.
