Many followers of the Awami National Party (ANP), particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, observed Eid today (Sunday) following the announcement by their central president, Aimal Wali Khan.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Aimal Wali Khan declared on Saturday that his party would observe Eid on Sunday, aligning with Saudi Arabia.

According to the channel report, Eid prayers have been offered in Khyber Bara district as Eid is being celebrated at a few places in Khyber Bara.

Aimal Wali Khan, in his statement, justified the decision by stating, "Just as we observed Ramadan with the Muslim world, we will also celebrate Eid together." He urged ANP members, leaders, and supporters to observe Eid with simplicity due to the prevailing circumstances.

Aimal Wali Khan also emphasised the importance of avoiding large gatherings for safety reasons and announced that there would be no Eid congregation at Wali Bagh.

He further encouraged people to support the poor and needy, ensuring that the underprivileged could also experience the joy of Eid. "We must share our resources with those in need so they, too, can partake in the happiness of Eid," he said, praying for peace, stability, and prosperity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and other oppressed regions.

Apart from Taheri Mosque, Eid prayers were also offered at Pan Mandi, Soldier Bazaar, Baloch Colony, North Nazimabad, and Hyderi, where members of the Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat exchanged greetings and prayed for Pakistan’s well-being.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia sighted the Shawwal moon and is observing Eid-ul-Fitr today (March 30, 2025). However, Pakistan awaits the official moon sighting announcement to confirm its Eid celebrations on Monday.
