President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended their heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the nation, emphasizing the values of unity, compassion, and resilience in the face of challenges.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that Eid is a day of joy, gratitude, and brotherhood, urging Pakistanis to continue practicing the values of piety, patience, and sacrifice learned during Ramadan. He stressed that Pakistan is facing threats from internal and external enemies and called for national unity against extremism, sectarianism, and hatred to safeguard the country's stability and integrity.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to economic revival, peace, and social stability, acknowledging the sacrifices of Pakistan Army officers and soldiers in the fight against terrorism. He also expressed solidarity with the families of martyrs of the Jaffar Express tragedy and extended support to the oppressed people of Palestine and Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged Pakistanis to share Eid’s joys with the needy, help their fellow countrymen, and contribute to building a welfare society.
