The fire that erupted in three areas of the recreational National Park in Margallah Hills on Friday is now under control, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The fire broke out at Syed Pur, Tilhar Village and Pir Suhawa. It got under control after the timely action taken by the Capital Development Authority and Islamabad Wildlife.
The blaze that engulfed Syed Pur and Pir Suhawa was completely put out. While firefighters got 90% control over fire in Tilhar Village. The blaze spread in 12-acre area of Syed Pur and 15 acres of Tilhar Village.
Sixty firefighters from Islamabad Wildlife, 200 from CDA, six bowsers and several fire brigade vehicles took part in the efforts r to extinguish the flames.
The fire damaged bushes and grass in the affected areas.
