Seven feared drowned as vehicle plunges into Chitral river

Seven passengers were feared drowned when a vehicle fell into a river in Upper Chitral, reported 24NewsHD Tv Channel.

Reportedly, a vehicle carrying passengers skidded off the road and fell into a river in Upper Chitral on Sunday. 

The ill-fated vehicle was going to Markhon from Dir. Two passengers swam to safety while seven are still missing.

According to police, the accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence.

On Saturday, 11 people, including three children, were killed as a passenger van fell into a ravine in the Zaminabad area of Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Police said 14 others, including three children, were also injured in the accident.

The accident took place at around 2:30am PST. Zaminabad village is some 24 kilometers south of Muzaffarabad-Kohala road. 

The van was carrying 25 people. The van had left Rawalpindi for Chakothi when the accident occurred.
