Karachi sweats as mercury expected to hit 43 degree Celsius

No respite is in sight from the heatwave gripping the country for the last over one week, at least in the next few days, as the Met Office has predicted that the maximum temperature in Karachi would again go up to 43 degrees Celsius later in the afternoon today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The Met office has further said that the people of the city would feel like the temperature is between 47 degrees Celsius to 49 degrees Celsius.
The level of humidity in the air in the morning was recorded at 78 per cent, while the weather department has forecast extremely hot and humid weather for the port city during the next 24 hours.
Intense heat tests people’s patience in Lahore
The situation is no different in Lahore where the temperature rose to 32 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the weather department has said it will go up to 42 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
Extremely hot weather has made people’s lives miserable as they are finding it hard to get on with their routine life.
To make matters worse, the Met Office has said that there is no chance of rain in the provincial capital and its suburbs during the next week.
People of Larkana, Mohenjo Daro brace for another hot day
The temperature in Mohenjo Daro and Larkana shot up to 44.5 and 44 degrees Celsius, respectively in the morning.
The weather department has forecast that the maximum temperature in Mohenjo Daro will be recorded at 49 degrees Celsius today, while in Larkana 48 degrees Celsius.
