Federal Minister for Interior Affairs and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi called on London Mayor Sadiq Khan during his visit to England on Thursday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he discussed the current political situation and matters of mutual interest with the London Mayor in the meeting.
The channel said that special discussions were also held regarding cricket and matches between the Pakistan and England teams.
On this occasion, the channel reported that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to Mayor Sadiq Khan to visit Pakistan.
The meeting was also attended by the Pakistani High Commissioner to the UK Dr Muhammad Faisal and the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Ms Jane Marriott.
The channel reported that yesterday, Pakistan High Commissioner Dr Faisal hosted a dinner in the honor of Pakistan Cricket Team in London and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi attended the event.
Besides the Pakistan cricket team, Balochistan CM Sarfaraz Bugti and former PM Anwarul Haq Kakar, senior team management, Ishaq Dar's son Ali Dar and PM Shehbaz Sharif's son-in-law Ali Imran also attended the dinner.
Speaking on the occasion, the PCB chief reiterated his resolve to provide the players with all-out support.
“We should support the national team whether they win or lose,” he said and urged players to do their best.
