Indian tennis star and ex-wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, Sania Mirza in a recent interview with leading Indian magazine Femina, redefined the role of women in society.
Mirza boldly asserted, “Women are not just meant to be pretty and cook; they are so much more than that.”
The 37-year-old sportswoman, who got immense fame and success through her incredible skills as a professional tennis player, believes that women are not just about beauty or domestic chores.
Though women all over the world have outgrown societal barriers and done wonders through their work in various fields, society in South Asian countries still sees females in limited roles.
Being a mother and a celebrity at the same time, Sania said that women are much more than what society wants them to be.
She highlighted the importance of a woman and their multifaceted capabilities.
Sania reshared the post shared by magazine Famina on their official Instagram to show her commitment to empowering women.
