Two TTP terrorists killed, five escape in Lakki Marwat operation

The Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) Bannu Region and police killed two key terrorists belonging to Tipu Gul Group of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an operation in the Abasia Khattak area of Lakki Marwat, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to report, during the intelligence-based joint operation of the CTF and police, five other terrorists of the banned group succeeded in escaping from the area.
The police received information about the movement of terrorists from a banned organisation in the area of Abasia Khattak and planning attacks on the Abbasia police checkpoint and Dadiwala police station.
Upon the arrival of the police and CTF operation team in the area, the terrorists launched a hand grenade attack from the opposite direction.
After a 25-minute intense exchange of gunfire, two key terrorists from the banned Tipu Gul group were killed, while five terrorists escaped into the mountains under the cover of darkness.
The police recovered two Kalashnikovs, eight magazines, dozens of cartridges, and four hand grenades from the possession of the killed terrorists.
The police shifted the dead bodies of the terrorists to Naurang Hospital for post-mortem.
