Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) President Fazl-ur-Rehman said on Monday the December 13 public meeting of the opposition parties in Lahore would prove the last nail in the government’s coffin.
Addressing the anti-government gathering organised by the PDM, an alliance of 11 political parties currently trying to topple the federal government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Fazl said that Lahore would be the next battleground and dared the rulers to stop the rally. He said the PDM would take everything with it if someone tried to stand in its way.
Fazl saluted the people of Multan for making the anti-government alliance’s public meeting at Qasim Bagh a success. He said the rulers could not withstand the pressure when the PDM showed them the stick. Challenging the prime minister, he said, “You are just nothing; we have dealt with your elders. The way we have made you flee Multan, we will succeed in bringing down your throne. People defeated the incompetent government with enthusiasm.”
On this occasion, Fazl announced protest demonstrations at the district headquarters level. He said the prime minister was coward and he would flee soon. He said that he had dealt with the powerful elements and he would not be scared of the rulers’ rhetoric. He said the incumbent government was cruel and fighting against cruelty was his religious obligation. He said that rulers must not take opposition’s decency as a weakness.
Fazl said that PDM allies could go to any extent. He said that he had vowed to hold a rally in Multan and he kept his word. He said that rulers sold Kashmir and now they wanted to sell Palestine. He said the government was trying to play the card of the Muslim world, but the PDM would not let it do so. He said the PDM would not allow the rulers to impose their foreign agenda on the country. He said the PDM wanted to take the country forward and it would continue it struggle to achieve this objective.
