Sindh government Saturday inaugurated the Manora Beach Park in Karachi with the cost of Rs450 million.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the park and said it was a gift to the citizens of Karachi on the beach as per modern requirements.
Addressing the inaugurating ceremony, he said that it was constructed at a cost of Rs 450 million and had a capacity of accommodating around 10,000 citizens.
In the park, there was a parking facility comprising of an area of one acre with a hotel. The government had fixed the entry fee of Rs50 per visitor.
The park will be supervised by the Karachi Cantonment Board
Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah in his address said that despite many difficulties including the coronavirus epidemic, the project had been completed.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab said the city lights had gone out but they had restored peace here and now providing opportunities for recreation to the citizens.
