An alleged robber who killed an employee in a shop during the robbery attempt was tortured to death by people after being caught in the act in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.
As per initial reports, two robbers broke into a plastic shopping bag shop near Johar Chowrangi. When the armed accused started to escape after the robbery, a youth working in the shop tried to catch the robber, on which the robbers opened fire. The youth who was identified as Sheharyar was shot dead on the spot.
According to the police, the locals were alarmed by the scene and surrounded the dacoits. The locals caught one of the dacoits while his accomplice managed to flee.
The dacoit was subjected to brutal torture and succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to the hospital.
According to police officials, the CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained. In which the accused could clearly be seen committing robbery.
The deceased robber was identified as Saqib, who was a resident of Orangi Town. Police have started searching for the other accused.
