In a surprising move, the majority of the newly-elected officials of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Sunday expressed their indifference to the new president bar Abid Zuberi’s statement regarding Imran Khan.
SCBA executive member Mohsin Virk claimed that 10 out of 17 office-bearers have affiliation with the Asma Jahangir Group.
He said that the SCBA president cannot take any decision without the support of a majority of the members.
“Abid Shahid Zuberi’s statement in favor of Imran Khan is his personal point of view. The SCBA is an institution of lawyers and it’s not a tool of any political party,” Mohsin Virk added.
