Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly condemned attack on the car belonged to Pakistan High Commission in London, carrying ex-chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa and his wife Sarina.


In a statement on Wednesday, Mohsin Naqvi directed National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) to identify people who were involved in attacking the former CJP’s car through video footage.


He further directed to get registered first information report (FIR) against the attackers so that their passports and CNICs should be suspended immediately. He asked relevant officials to start procedure for cancellation of these persons’ citizenship.


Mohsin Naqvi said that he will forward the case of citizenship cancellation to the federal cabinet for approval.


He said that ex-CJP Qazi Faez Isa was already receiving threatening messages so why concerned officials failed to provide him necessary security. “We cannot remain silent on such kind of incidents,” he maintained.


 


PTI workers attack Qazi Faez Isa’s car in London


On Tuesday night, Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers attacked vehicle of former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife Sarina in London.


The PTI activists tried to stop the ex-CJP’s car belonging to Pakistan High Commission in London and also attempted to smash its windowpanes. The PTI workers chanted slogans after seeing Qazi Isa’s car and even ran along it.


Though a police escort was travelling with Qazi Isa’s car, the PTI workers still tried to block the car’s path.


Qazi Isa was going to attend the ceremony for constituting benches at the Middle Temple.


PTI senior leaders Zulfi Bukhari, Malika Bukhari, Azhar Mashwani and others also addressed the party workers present at Middle Temple protesting against the former CJP.


Nowadays Qazi Faez Isa is in London to attend an event to constitute Middle Temple benches.
