Punjab govt appoints 70 law officers

Punjab government has appointed 10 lawyers as additional advocate generals of Punjab, 25 lawyers as acting advocate generals, and 35 lawyers as law officers, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.  

After the approval of the competent authority, Provincial Law Secretary Malik Akhtar Javed Friday issued a notification in this regard. 

The lawyers’ affiliation with PTI and PML-Q have been inducted as law officers. 

The Punjab government approved to increase in the seats of 30 law officers in the Advocate General Punjab Office besides the existing vacancies some months ago. 

Ten lawyers who have been appointed as Additional Advocate General Punjab are Mansoor Usman, Ameer Abbas, Nader Dugal, Mukhtar Ranjha, Fayyaz Meher, Arshad Jahangir Jhoja, Ahmad Masood, Muhammad Shahzad Awan, Malik Abdul Aziz Awan and Muhammad Qasim Chauhan. 

Those who are appointed as Assistant Advocate General Punjab include Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi, Talat Mahmood Khan, Zakaria Yusuf Toor, Burgess Tahir, Miss Ghazala Batul, Sadiq Tariq, Malik Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Akbar, Safdar Ali, Tahir Pervez, Naseemullah Khan, Shafqat Hameed Ahmed, Ali Jafar, MH Shaheen, Mian Syed Hanif, Malik Munir Ahmed, Shahid Mahmood, Tayyab Jan, Sulaiman Zaheer Khan, Maria Farooq, Khan Shahzad Khan, Hasan Nawaz Chhata, Akhtar Abbas and Khawaja Umeez.
