The King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayyaz announced to the establishment of a robotic centre in his University and Mayo Hospital in near future.
He addressed the 3-day Punjab Universities Vice Chancellors Conference on "Paradigm Shift in Higher Education-Hackton Planning for Feature held in Murree.
Governor Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman attended the conference while vice-chancellors of different universities from Punjab also participated in various educational and research sessions.
Prof Mahmood Ayyaz said the establishment of the robotic centre in KEMU will give benefit the ailing humanity and also the trainee doctors.
He also shed light on the ongoing Educational, Research and Development Projects in the University.
Higher Education Commission (HEC) Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Conference host, Vice Chancellor Kohsar University Dr Syed Habib Bukhari also addressed the inaugural session.
Education experts offered suggestions based on their experiences to meet the global challenges facing higher education and improve the quality of education.
Ex-Vice Chancellor of KEMU Prof Khalid Masood Gondal told about the establishment of the telemedicine centre and its excellent work.
On this occasion, Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman gave a shield to Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University Prof Mahmood Ayyaz.
