A local court has sentenced a woman harasser to 10 years in jail and Rs2.5 million fine in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The additional sessions judge heard the case and pronounced the sentence.
According to details, the accused took objectionable pictures of a woman and shared them on social media. He used to blackmail her.
The FIA cybercrime wing, Gujranwala circle, registered a case of harassment and blackmailing against him in 2021.
After the completion of the trial, the court found Anwarul Haq guilty and handed him 10-year imprisonment and a Rs2.5 million fine.
On behalf of the FIA, Assistant Director Legal Hamza Azhar followed the case while Sub Inspector Zeeshan Yousuf completed the investigation of the case and submitted the challan to the court.
