Awam Pakistan Party (APP) convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi asserted on Sunday that law and order and economic situation in FATA is very alarming and there was need of the hour that government should solve all the problems of FATA as the people of FATA are still deprived of basic facilities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a moot in Peshawar, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the demands of the people of FATA are legitimate. He said that the promises made to the people at the time of merger were not fulfilled. He said there was a sense of deprivation among the people which is increasing day by day. It is the right of the people to hold meetings and protest and it was alarming that government was not giving them their legitimate right.

He claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was answerable on the current situation of the country.

Abbasi said: "The bogus cases should not be made against PTI founder. I also had to face the baseless allegations and was put behind bars." "It is the failure of the government that the masses are pouring on to the streets for the sake of their rights," Abbasi stated. He said today “one party is in government, tomorrow it will be in opposition. The government thinking is beyond my understanding. This government does not know which way it is doing”. He said, “two weeks ago, an attempt was made to amend the constitution in the dark of night. Do our rulers not consider our people to be able to see the constitutional amendments?”. Abbasi demanded that “if the government makes any amendment, it should first be placed on the floor of the assembly and debated on these amendments in the assembly, after which this amendment should be approved”.
