Nepra imposes Rs200m fine on KE for outages in Karachi

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority on Monday imposed Rs200 million fine on K-Electric after the company failed to satisfy Nepra regarding recent loadshedding.

Holding responsible for power outages in Karachi, Nepra imposed Rs200 million fine on KE. It is the highest fine under Nepra act. 

However, K-Electric refused to accept the charges levelled against it.
