Pakistan records only 213 new coronavirus cases with six deaths

Pakistan remained on track to defeat coronavirus as the country reported only 213 new cases Monday in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.
According to the figures, 213 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours after conducting 18017 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 295849 that returned positive after conducting 2621146 total tests so far.
The number of active cases in the country is also reducing sharply as the total active case remained 8,873 and with 135 more recoveries in the last 24 hours, the number of total recovered cases reached 280,682 with 94.9% recovery rate.
However, there were six more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 6,294 that represents a ratio of 2.1%. According to government figures, the number of critical patients has been reduced to 604.
There was a further considerable decline in new coronavirus infections in the most populous province of the country Punjab, which has recorded only 28 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 96,769 with 2090 active cases. The province reported two new deaths as death toll stands at 2,198. With 10 new recoveries, 92,481 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.
The most affected province Sindh has recorded 80 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 129,348 with 4008 active cases. The province also recorded three new deaths, taking the death toll to 2,401. With 37 new recoveries, 122,939 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 27 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 36,044 with 844 active cases. The province reported no new death for third consecutive day, as death toll remains 1,250. With 24 new recoveries, 33,950 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Balochistan has recorded another 27 cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 12,869 with 972 active cases. However, the good news is that the province did not report any virus-related death in last 10 days as the death toll remains at 141. With 55 new recoveries, 11,756 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.
Islamabad has recorded 14 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 15,625 with 475 active cases. It was the 13th consecutive day that no new death was reported in the Federal Capital as virus death toll remains at 175. With eight new recoveries, the number of recovered patients reached at 14,975 in the federal capital so far.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded four new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,298 with 121 active cases. With one new death, the death toll reached at 62. There was no new recovery reported in the AJK as 2115 patients have recovered so far from the virus.
Gilgit Baltistan has recorded 33 new cases during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 2896 with 363 active cases. With no new death reported, the death toll remains at 67. One more patient recovered from the deadly disease as 2,466 patients have recovered from the virus so far.
