Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Chairman Prof Dr. Mirza Habib announced annual matric results where 66 percent of students passed the crucial examination of their life, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The pass percentage of female candidates was 74 while 57 percent of male candidates passed the exams.
Two candidates remained top scorers with 1095 marks and three candidates got 1094 marks to get second ‘position’ while 10 students secured the third position with 1093 marks.
185,000 candidates appeared while 133,000 students passed the examination and 52,841 students failed the matric exams. The results were prepared by 100 percent of government teachers.
Prof Habib talking to a media person said that tenth-grade examination continued from May 10 to June 11th. He said that BISE Lahore has been bringing reforms to the examination system.
