Federal Minister for Finance Miftah Ismael said on Wednesday that the government would decide on the import of food items from India after consultations with its coalition partners as several international organisations working in the country had sought permission for that, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a tweet, he said that the government would not only take the coalition parties into confidence but also all the stakeholders before taking the decision.
The shortage of food items would also be taken into consideration, he informed.
