Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday arrived in Dera Ghazi Khan where she met the flood-hit people and assured them of full assistance by the government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Maryam arrived in Fazilpur area of Rajanpur where she said to the flood-hit people that on the instructions of Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, their miseries would soon be addressed.

“I have come with ration that will soon be distributed to you. I have received so much love from Rajanpur,” she said to the flood victims.

Maryam also went to Jampur to meet the flood-hit people there. PML-N leader Sardar Awais Khan Leghari accompanied her. A large number of the PML-N leaders and workers welcomed her in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam said that the PML-N leadership was with the flood-hit people in the time of suffering and pain.

She also distributed ration to the flood-hit people and appealed to the affluent people to spend money to help the flood victims.

She also inspected the relief activities being carried out by the PML-N in the areas affected by floods.

Earlier, Maryam had landed at Dera Ghazi Khan Airport to embark on her journey to the flood-hit areas. Her husband Capt (retd) Safdar accompanied her.

Maryam stumbles during her speech in Fazilpur 

While addressing a public rally in flood-hit Fazilpur, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz stumbled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PML-N vice president is currently on a visit to flood-ravaged areas of South Punjab. 

During her visit to Fazilpur on Wednesday where she went to express her solidarity with the flood affectees, she started addressing the public. But during her speech, she stumbled and her husband Capt ® Muhammad Sadfar held her from falling.

Seeing this, the local PML-N leaders provided her a chair. She delivered the remainder of the speech while sitting in the chair.
