In a move to enhance living conditions for lower-level government employees, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Saturday announced construction of multi-storey apartment towers at Chauburji Staff Colony, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of a groundbreaking ceremony at Chauburji, he said that it is the government's responsibility to ensure suitable accommodation for all deserving employees.

This groundbreaking initiative aimed to provide modern residential facilities for government servants, he added.

CM Naqvi disclosed plans for constructing four apartment towers, comprising five floors each, to accommodate employees ranging from Grade 11 to Grade 14.

This project will be a testament to the government's commitment to improving the housing situation for its workforce, Mohsin Naqvi maintained.

Additionally, Naqvi highlighted the implementation of a new drainage system and enhanced security measures for the Chauburji Staff Colony.

Expressing the government's dedication to employee welfare, CM Naqvi emphasized that the proposed towers will feature tube well chambers, generator rooms, fire-fighting systems, and alarm systems.

Each tower will be equipped with an underground water tank, elevators, and dedicated parking space for 30 cars and 40 bicycles, he remarked.

Furthermore, each floor of the towers will house six apartments, contributing to the overall goal of providing comfortable and quality residences, he concluded.

On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Information Aamir Mir, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretary for Housing and Communications, CCPO Lahore, Commissioner Lahore, Deputy Commissioner, and other relevant authorities were present.
