The Election Commission of Pakistan has accepted the nomination papers of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif and former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto and other key figures including , Shehbaz Sharif, Jehangir Khan Tareen and Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
Nawaz’s nomination papers for the National Assembly seat NA-130 have been approved after no objection was raised. As per the election commission lists, the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif were accepted from NA-123. PML-N chief organiser Maryam Nawaz's nomination papers were accepted from NA-119, NA-120, PP-159, PP-160, PP-165 and PP-80.
The election commission accepted the nomination papers of Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the NA-127 election. The commission rejected the objection raised by Ayaz Farooqui.
It gave the go-ahead to PPP leaders Aslam Gul, Faisal Mir and Huma Mir. The nomination papers of Zubair Kisana and Asma Zaheer Abbas, PTI leader Latif Khosa and Khurram Latif Khosa, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ehsanullah Waqas were also approved

From NA 149, the nomination papers of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) chief Jahangir Khan Tareen were approved. Moreover, the nominations of Malik Amir Dogar and Javed Hashmi were approved for the same seat.
From NA-117, the nomination papers of Abdul Aleem Khan of IPP, Atta Tarar and Ayaz Sadiq of PML-N and noted singer Abrarul Haq have been accepted.
From PP 284, the nomination papers of former Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar were accepted. A total of 24 candidates ad submitted nomination papers and all got the go-ahead. The nomination papers of 17 candidates from PP 54 including PML-N’s Ahsan Iqbal and his wife were approved.
