Former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza started a new journey after her former husband Shoaib Malik’s shocking second marriage to actress Sana Javed.
Mirza returned to the sports world by working as a commentator in the recently concluded Australian Open 2024.
The former wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, who served for an Indian sports channel ‘Sony Pictures Networks’ expressed gratitude towards the channel, and declared the two weeks she had spent there, as ‘amazing’.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a three-gallery picture of herself with the caption that reads:
“Amazing two weeks with @sonysportsnetwork for the Australian Open... so much history created once again! Especially by our very own @rohanbopanna0403.”

In the photos above, the prolific player was donning a black outfit: a long skirt paired with a black coat and undershirt.
The lady accessorized her outfit with bracelets, rings, earrings, a necklace, and a watch.
Mirza tied her hair in a ponytail and applied minimal makeup.
In the first click she has a big smile on her face which shows her level of happiness whereas in the second and third pictures, she is posing in the camera for the click.
Two days earlier, she dropped a video on her Instagram with the caption that reads:
“Pushing the limits on and off the court, I took @samsoniteindia on an intense test of strength and endurance. Check out it cracks under pressure!”
In the shared video she was seen playing tennis.
Sania Mirza’s father Imran Mirza had said his daughter enjoys sharing her views about the sport.
“She enjoys commentating. Sania understands the game well and since she has played with most of the women and some of the men and knows them personally, temperamentally, and their game technically, Sania will be able to give her insights which viewers enjoy,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention that Sania Mirza has been married to Shoaib Malik since 2010. They share a five-year-old son Izhaan.
However, Imran Mirza confirmed to Indian news agencies over the weekend that his daughter sought separation from her former husband Shoaib Malik through khula (the right of a Muslim woman to divorce her husband).
