The American woman Onijah Andrew Robinson, who claims to have been deceived by a Pakistani teenager, has demanded $100,000 to return home, while the Chhipa Foundation’s head, Ramzan Chhipa, has declared her mentally unstable.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, during a joint press conference at the Chhipa Foundation’s headquarters in Karachi, Onijah along with Ramzan Chhipa made the unusual demand:

"I request the government to give me $100,000. I want to go to Dubai with my husband," the American woman said.

She also insisted that $20,000 would be for herself, while the rest should be used for rebuilding Karachi’s infrastructure, citing poor road conditions and a lack of cleanliness.

Heated exchange with Chhipa boss

At one point, Onijah lost her temper and snapped at Ramzan Chhipa, telling him to "keep quiet" and accusing him of talking too much.

In response, Chhipa declared that Onijah’s mental state was unstable, stating:

"She keeps changing her statements every five minutes. This entire situation is damaging Pakistan’s image."

He urged Ahmad Nidal Memon and his family to step forward and resolve the matter.

Chhipa's intervention

Yesterday late night, the head of the Chhipa Foundation, Ramzan Chhipa, personally intervened and brought Onijah to the foundation’s headquarters near FTC, Karachi, from Tipu Sultan Police Station.

Ramzan Chhipa revealed that Onijah had been unable to sleep for three days, affecting her health.

“She is like my sister, and we will take care of her,” Ramzan Chhipa stated, adding that Chhipa female volunteers would stay with her, ensuring her comfort and safety.

Social media romance goes wrong

The 19-year-old Karachi man, Ahmad Nidal Memon, allegedly met Onijah Andrew Robinson on social media and allegedly online married and promised to stay together.

Trusting him, she divorced her husband, abandoned her children, and flew to Pakistan on October 11 to be with him.

However, Ahmed’s family strongly opposed the marriage, leaving Onijah stranded in Karachi for months as she had no return ticket.

“We are already married,” claims Onijah

Speaking to the media, Onijah shocked everyone by claiming that she and Ahmed were already married online in Utah, USA.

“Although we are married, we don’t have children yet. I only want a secure home with him,” she stated, rejecting claims that she was after money.

“Money is nothing; I have money, and everyone here has money. This is about love, not wealth,” she insisted.

Sit in outside lover’s home

After being denied recognition by Ahmed’s family, Onijah staged a protest outside his apartment in Ali Arcade, Karachi.

She spent the entire night in the parking lot despite the cold weather, refusing to leave until her demands were met.

Legal challenges

The case has gained social media attention and legal scrutiny, with authorities now investigating the validity of her alleged online marriage.

Meanwhile, Ahmed has remained silent and disappeared from the house, while his family refuses to accept the marriage.

US Consulate’s intervention

The US Consulate in Karachi became involved after Onijah was offloaded from a Qatar Airways flight (QR 611) at Karachi Airport due to creating a disturbance and misbehaving with airline staff two days ago.

US officials clarified that they could not force her to return to America against her will, as it would be illegal and could lead to legal consequences for the US government.
