DC suggests smart lockdowns for different parts of Lahore

The surge in the cases of the coronavirus has forced the deputy commissioner Lahore to suggest the imposition of smart lockdowns in parts of the city with a large number of patients of the pandemic, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

In this connection, DC Mudassar Riaz Malik has written a letter to secretary health in which he has suggested imposition of smart lockdowns in Allama Iqbal Zone, from Street No 162-E to 165-E, EME Society, at Johar Town’s Block L, from House No 418 to 425, situated in Aziz Bhatti Zone of the city, in C Block of Cantonment Zone from House No 361 to 417, at Shalimar Road, Lahore Cantonment from House No 6 to 9, at PNT Colony, from House No 40 to 95 and at Umar Block, from House No 300 to 405.

Similarly, the DC has recommended imposing smart lockdowns in Samanabad Zone, from House No 60 to 65, at Block-I, Wahdat Colony, from House No 200 to 250, at A Block in Gulshan Ravi, from House No 100 to 145, and at Sheikh Zayed Housing Society.

The deputy commissioner has suggested placing parts of Gulberg Zone under lockdown, from House No. 140 to 180, and at H Block in Model Town, in Shalimar Zone, St No. 174, and at Aman Park locality at College Road.

The DC wrote that 59 cases had been reported from these areas having a population of 8,374
