A sudden rise has been witnessed in the cases of diarrhea in Hyderabad most likely due to consumption of contaminated water amid monsoon rains, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to the Health Department, as many as 477 cases of diarrhea have been reported in Hyderabad during the last 24 hours.
Among the 477 diarrhea victims, at least 168 are children under the age of five.
The diarrhea cases are on the rise in Hyderabad due to consumption of contaminated water amid monsoon rains.
On the other hand, dozens of people, most of them are children, have been hospitalised in Landi Kotal tehsil of Khyber district after falling prey to cholera.
Locals of the area have demanded that the government take stringent measures for the eradication of the disease.
