The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Industries Association on Sunday announced a symbolic strike across the country against the sale of the commodity at fixed government prices on July 31.
LPG Industries Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar said there will be a symbolic strike on Monday against the increase in LPG prices.
He said all LPG shops will remain closed from 8 AM to 12 PM on July 31.
Irfan Khokhar further stated that the supply of gas to consumers at the actual price will be ensured. “Unnecessary actions against LPG shops should be stopped, he said, adding that direct interference of police and government officials in LPG business should be stopped.
Irfan said if the government does not pay any heed to the association’s demands, there will be a nationwide shutdown on August 5 and 6.
