Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Tuesday said that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif’s criticism of Usman Buzdar-led Punjab government was not justified at all as the former CM had done nothing for the province’s healthcare system during his tenures.
In a statement, he said the PTI government in Punjab has been battling with COVID-19 effectively. “We welcomed Shehbaz Sharif open-heatedly but the PML-N president started the propaganda against the government,” the information minister said.
He said that the government was expecting that Shehbaz Sharif would be fighting side by side with the government against coronavirus but he started playing the street politics against federal and provincial governments.
Chohan even termed Shehbaz Sharif's criticism ‘poisonous propaganda’ which is more dangerous than COVID-19.
“Shehbaz Sharif has been criticizing the government as he had left the province’s healthcare system ideal with having a million ventilators and a million protective kits.”
He vowed that all institutions of the country including the army are fighting against coronavirus under Article 245.
Shehbaz Sharif is requested to play a positive role during this difficult time, the minister added.
