An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore Friday discharged 48 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from the two cases registered over hooliganism and torture of policemen in Zaman Park, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the investigation officer, the identity of 48 PTI workers could not be ascertained during the identification parade.
“The PTI workers had been arrested in 413/23 and 414/23 cases at Race Course police station. In each case, 24 accused were named,” he said.
The investigation officer, Inspector Zulfiqar, requested the ATC to discharge the accused.
At this, the ATC discharged the 48 PTI workers from the cases.
