The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has strongly condemned the demand for the resignation of the chief justice of Pakistan, describing it as a conspiracy against the judiciary.
The demand for the resignation of the country’s top judge is a ‘conspiracy’ against the judiciary, the PBC said in a statement. The lawyers stand with the judiciary, it maintained adding that any attempt to weaken the judiciary will not be allowed to succeed.

Six judges of IHC wrote a letter of interference with the judicial affairs.
The CJP summoned a full court session of the Supreme Court and held a meeting with the prime minister.
The government formed a commission under an ex-SC judge to look into the matter.
The PTI demurred the commission and demanded the formation of a judicial commission.
