Jenn Tran, the newest Bachelorette, has finally addressed the unexpected scheduling shake-up of her season—and she's taking it in stride.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the Cape Radiance Gala red carpet in Los Angeles on March 24, the 27-year-old reality star joked about the delay, quipping, “I don’t know anything about that. Long live Jenn Tran as the last Bachelorette. I’d love that.”
The delay, which means The Bachelorette will not air in its usual summer slot, caught both fans and Tran off guard. Previously, she admitted to PEOPLE that the decision was a surprise, saying, “I have no idea why and what’s going on there.”
While speculation swirls about the pause in production, Tran suggested it could actually be a strategic move for better viewership. “The Bachelorette usually airs in the summer when people are traveling. I heard that it doesn’t do as well as The Bachelor, which airs in the fall when people are home and ready to watch TV,” she explained.
Despite the uncertainty, Tran remains optimistic, hoping the shift will benefit future seasons. “Maybe it’ll give a chance for the next Bachelorette to air at a time where there’s more visibility. That would be nice.”
For now, fans will have to wait a little longer to watch Tran’s journey unfold—but her sense of humor suggests she’s more than ready for whatever comes next.
