Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to share the festive spirit with patients and healthcare workers.
Accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Rushda Lodhi, Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, MS Dr. Arif Iftikhar, Professor Bilqis Shabbir, Professor Imran Aslam, Professor Rashid Iqbal, and other faculty members, the ministers cut a cake and distributed gifts to patients in various wards.
Khawaja Salman Rafique paid tribute to the doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff working in government hospitals during Eid, acknowledging their dedication to serving patients despite being away from their families. He emphasized that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is committed to providing the best healthcare facilities to the public in line with her vision.
Khawaja Imran Nazir echoed the sentiment, stating that their visit was in line with the Chief Minister’s instructions to bring Eid cheer to the children at the hospital. He praised the medical staff for their selfless service and reiterated the government's commitment to improving the state of public hospitals in Punjab.
Vice Chancellor Professor Khalid Masood Gondal highlighted the significance of Eid as a time of collective joy and reward, stressing that true happiness lies in helping the less fortunate and serving suffering humanity. He called the act of sharing the burdens of others an ongoing charity and a source of spiritual fulfillment. He also extended warm congratulations to the soldiers of the security forces, recognizing their sacrifices for the country.
