On the joyous occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, Russia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan, emphasizing the festival’s spirit of unity, compassion, and social harmony, reported 24News HD TV channel.

In his message, Ambassador Khorev conveyed warm wishes, acknowledging the significance of Eid as a time of celebration following the month of Ramadan, which is dedicated to prayers, self-restraint, and spiritual purification.

"This day arrives with a message of happiness, love, and solidarity," he remarked, adding that Eid is not just about reuniting with family and friends; it is also an opportunity to share joy with the underprivileged and promote the spirit of empathy in society.

Ambassador Khorev also underscored Russia’s commitment to religious diversity and cultural inclusivity.

"Russia is a multicultural and multi-religious country, where millions of Muslims have been an integral part of our social and cultural fabric for centuries," he noted.

He further underscored that Russia upheld the principles of mutual respect, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence, which serve as the foundation for national unity and social stability.

Reflecting on the significance of faith and resilience, the Russian diplomat quoted a famous verse by Allama Iqbal:
"Jahan mein ahl-e-imaan soorat-e-khurshid jeetay hain,
Idhar doobay udhar niklay, udhar doobay idhar niklay."

Ambassador Khorev expressed his sincere wishes for peace and happiness, hoping that Eid would bring joy, love, and spiritual contentment to Pakistanis' lives.

“Please accept my heartfelt Eid greetings,” he said, extending his best wishes to the people of Pakistan on this auspicious occasion.
