The United States Embassy in Islamabad extended warm Eid ul-Fitr greetings to the people of Pakistan, reported 24News HD TV channel on Monday.
The greeting was posted on the platform X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by a video capturing the festive spirit of Eid.
The video featured Natalie Baker, the U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires, actively participating in Eid shopping at Islamabad’s F-7 sector.
She was seen browsing through traditional items such as bangles, rings, and earrings, expressing her admiration for Pakistani jewelry and cultural traditions.
In her message, Baker greeted the audience with a warm "Assalamualaikum and Eid Mubarak," extending her heartfelt wishes on behalf of the US government and people.
"I wish all those celebrating Eid ul-Fitr a joyous and blessed festival," she said, emphasizing the significance of the occasion as a culmination of the sacred month of Ramadan and fasting.
The video also featured other women discussing the spiritual and social importance of Ramadan.
Highlighting the shared joy of the Muslim community worldwide, she stated, "The United States stands with Muslims in Pakistan and around the world in celebrating this moment of gratitude and happiness."
