Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) office-bearer Raja Yasir Humayun has announced quitting party, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
In a video message, the former Punjab minister condemned the May 9 riots. He also announced his decision to quit politics.
On May 9, PTI activists took to the streets to vent their spleen against the arrest of ex-PM Imran Khan in a corruption case.
They attacked public property, state assets and sensitive installations across the country.
They also stormed GHQ in Rawalpindi, Jinnah House in Lahore and Pakistan Radio Station in Peshawar.
Innocent people lost their lives while the riots left a trail of destruction.
Many PTI members left the party ruing the May 9 riots.
